Sailing as an activity, relaxation or used
as an organisation instrument is usually enjoyable. There are also
individual boating events that make it equally exciting & can
be something that the complete members of the family can go and
observe all at once. One of the leading weeks of the yachting
agenda is the Cowes Regatta Week; this takes place yearly and has
been running since eighteen twenty six which makes it the longest
running sailing event today. With more than one thousand sailing
boats and six thousand members playing a part, being monitored by
fifty thousand spectators a day, Skandia Cowes week has gained the
stature as one of the leading sailing business hospitality &
social event of the whole year.
The 8,500 sailors cover Olympic &
world class practised sailors to weekend sailors. Yet if you are
not participating yourself, viewing the sailing, having fun at the
gatherings and live activities, & to witness the unique
feeling, makes it a one of a type corporate event.
With Ondeck Yachting, in 2008 commences
the launch of their most-up-to-date Regatta Division. Building on
their tremendous position in the yachting charter market, this has
seen Ondeck Yachting School, run a number of first-rate sailing
events for organisations, they have nowadays joined-up with
Britannia Sailing Events the chief organisers of industry events in
the United Kingdom.
The path of the race itself will diverge
each day as factors such as the weather forecast, tidal streams and
swiftness of each group of powerboat is taken into thought. A
normal Cowes Regatta has over thirty-five start offs each day for
challengers of cruiser series one designs and keelboats; adding up
to over 900 yachts. Through this moment in time the Solent which is
a very busy business shipping waterway, is crammed with yachts of
all classes & is principally colourful owing to the spinnakers.
As mentioned before besides of the power boating activities the
week consists of a large number of onshore events that include live
festivals & cocktail parties. From private or commercial
residential parties & nominally private yacht associations and
boats, there are enormous marquees put-up in the marinas offering
food and drink. Ondeck.co.uk have details on a range of corporate
sailing events for Cowes Week 2008.
